Elevating your Expectations...

Many times women expect that they'll experience pelvic floor dysfunction at some point in life. This might include urinary or bowel issues, pregnancy/postpartum issues, painful intercourse, tailbone pain, or pelvic/back pain. With this expectation, women often assume their symptoms are "normal" and they have to live with them. However, at Elevate PT we want to elevate your expectations and help you to realize you don't have to live with these symptoms, and that they're common, but not normal. Even better yet, we don't just seek to treat your symptoms with Band-Aid fixes, but we dig deeper and find the true reason of "why" your symptoms exist. No more dealing with symptoms for years, hopelessly relying on tons of Kegels to fix the problem, signing up for unnecessary surgeries or useless treatments, or giving up playing with your kids on the trampoline or other activities you love. We want to set you up for success, and to help you thrive, not just survive.

"Ashley has been wonderful! As a 3 time c section mama, I fully appreciate the work of a knowledgeable Pelvic Floor physical therapist! She’s been extremely helpful and in just a few visits I’ve had amazing results. Mamas- I can’t urge you enough to visit her! It’s life changing when your body works as it should."

"Dr. Ashley is thorough and knowledgeable about the body and how it works as a whole. Since seeing Dr. Ashley I have noticed significant improvement from when I began treatment. I highly recommend for new mommas, experienced mommas, or anyone who may be experiencing something that the world has considered "normal."

What Do We Treat?

Pelvic Pain

Pelvic pain includes pain anywhere from the belly button to the pubic bone, pain in the genital region, and extending out to the hips.

Postpartum Issues

These may include perineal tearing/episiotomy, scar tissue from cesarean or vaginal deliveries, core muscle healing due to separation (Diastasis Recti), and painful/difficulty with intercourse.

Pregnancy Related Pain/Issues

During any point in pregnancy you may experience low back/hip pain, pelvic pain, abdominal muscle separation, round ligament pain, pubic symphysis pain (SPD), and/or bowel and bladder issues.

Prolapse

Pelvic organ prolapse includes cystocele, rectocele, and uterine prolapse. All of these can contribute to symptoms in bowel/bladder function, feeling of heaviness/pressure in the pelvis/perineum, and difficulties with intercourse.

Urinary and/or Bowel Issues

Urinary leakage, fecal incontinence, overactive bladder (frequent urination), constipation, painful bowel movements or urination, hemorrhoids/fissures, and incomplete bladder emptying are all common issues we treat.

Tailbone, Low Back, and/or Hip Pain

Whether related to injury, pregnancy/postpartum, or from an unknown cause, we treat pain in the low back SI joints, sacrum, tailbone, hips, and more.

Any of these sound like you?

10/10 recommend! I wish I would have looked into pelvic floor physical therapy sooner after I had my child! Ashley is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and explains everything in a way that is easy to understand. Her exercises/therapies were very simple and straightforward. She also gave me something to keep working on even after our sessions had ended. I never felt embarrassed or uncomfortable. She makes it very easy to get an appointment with her and she is very flexible! She is amazing! I will definitely be going back! You won't regret making an appointment.

8 Reasons to Choose Elevate Physical Therapy

1. Care provided only by a true pelvic health care specialist

Our therapists treat pelvic health conditions 100% of the time instead of splitting their time treating shoulders and ankles as well. They also have had extensive additional training to treat pelvic conditions, ensuring you're in great hands.

2. Treatments that involve a full-body approach, treating your symptoms fully

No spending time laying on a table doing basic exercises that don't actually challenge your body like real-life.

3. No wasting time with Kegels, instead focusing on meaningful interventions that get you results you want.

Focusing on Kegels leaves the other 90% of opportunities to find lasting improvement on the table. When we address the whole picture and treat from a full-body perspective, it's rare Kegels are even needed.

4. Uncovering the 'why' behind your symptoms instead of using Band-Aid treatments

If we only focus on getting symptoms to resolve, we don't improve your body's resiliency and ability to adapt and take on life. We want to uncover why your symptoms are present and address the cause, leaving you with lasting change.

5. Care plans designed to help address all aspects of your pelvic health

We design your care plans to address the physical symptom drivers at the start, but we also address symptom-provokers from other aspects of life such as sleep, nutrition, stress management, and more complex movement patterns. This builds resiliency in your pelvic health, leaving you with the confidence that symptoms won't return

6. True privacy in addressing your symptoms with a private treatment room

You deserve full privacy in addressing some of your most personal issues. You won't have to worry about being in a large space with other people behind a curtain. Instead you'll be in a fully private treatment room 1:1 with your therapist.

7. Accessibility in contacting your therapist directly, no waiting on hold or talking to automated systems

We want you to feel supported in your journey, and part of this means the ability to contact your therapist directly through call/text!

8. You'll be seen by the same therapist for every one of your appointments, for a full hour.

Needless to say, you don't want to have to cover the same personal symptoms with multiple people. We ensure you'll see the same therapist every time to help you progress quickly and comfortably. Having a full hour to address symptoms helps treat more effectively, getting you better, and keeping you better.

The Elevate Care Model

We follow this care model to fully address symptoms, fix their cause(s), build stability in your body, and leave you with lasting change.
